The sayings of the six lines
- At the very start, let the rift simmer down on its own and do not chase what draws away — the runaway horse returns by itself, and even the one who seems hostile, take gently for now.
- When the direct way is blocked, you meet your person as if by chance in a side lane — such an informal encounter is not a fault, but a way to bridge the distance.
- On this edge it seems you are held back on all sides and everything works against you — a bad beginning does not mean a bad end, so hold on and do not harden.
- You feel alone in the midst of the rift, yet you meet a kindred soul you can trust — an honest bond even in discord gives back the ground beneath your feet.
- From the summit, regret cuts through when you finally swallow your distance from someone close — go to meet them openly, for walking on together is no offense at all.
- Estrangement pushed to the extreme sees an enemy in the other where there is none — when you let go of your mistrust, the tension eases on its own, as after rain.
