The myth of a "rising frequency" and a shift in consciousness

A very widespread claim goes: "The Schumann frequency is rising from 7.83 Hz and this increase raises the consciousness of humanity, accelerates time and prepares us for a shift into a higher dimension." As a physical statement this is false.

Fact: the fundamental frequency of the SR is, over the long term, stable around 7.83 Hz. It is determined by geometry — the circumference of the Earth and the speed of light (roughly: the wavelength of the first mode corresponds to the circumference of the planet). For the fundamental to "shift" permanently upward, the Earth would have to shrink or light would have to speed up; neither is happening. What really changes is mainly the amplitude/intensity of the resonance and small, short-term fluctuations of frequency (on the order of hundredths to tenths of a Hz) in the rhythm of diurnal and seasonal lightning activity and the state of the ionosphere Williams 1992 Satori 2024 Bozoki 2023.

So where does the "rising frequency" come from? From a misreading of online graphs (see #98). The colorful "spikes" on spectrograms tend to be short-term transients (strong lightning, the so-called Q-bursts), disturbances or noise of a single station — not a permanent shift of the fundamental. A jump "to 30 Hz" or "to 40 Hz" in practice means that the graph displayed energy in the higher harmonics as well, or captured interference, not that the "pulse of the Earth" sped up. The connection with a "shift in consciousness" is purely an interpretation without measurable basis Wiki Conspiracy Big Think.
